Kelly Clarkson’s Daytime Talk Show Ending After 7 Seasons

Everybody take a breath and grab a mug, because daytime just lost a power belter. According to reports, Kelly Clarkson’s daytime talk show is set to wrap after seven seasons – and yes, we’re cueing Since U Been Gone as we speak.

Kelly Clarkson confirmed she’s leaving her eponymous daytime talk show to spend more time with her children at the end of the show’s seventh season.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ both in Los Angeles and New York,” Clarkson, 43, wrote on Instagram. “There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons.”

The Grammy winner added that she was “forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for” as well as “all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us.”

The singer emphasised that stepping away from the show will allow her to focus on her kids more and be an active part of their lives. She says it is a decision that feels right for the next chapter of their lives.

Clarkson has daughter River, 11, and son Remington, 9, whom she shared with her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock. Blackstock tragically passed away in August 2025 at the age of 48.

The “American Idol” alum ended her message by acknowledging that while she is departing her daytime talk show after its current season, “this isn’t goodbye.”

But the rumors that Clarkson wanted out of the demanding schedule that comes with a daytime talk show date as far back as last year, when an industry source claimed that the singer would walk away once her contract expired this year.
