The legendary television host’s father has passed away at age 94. Her niece, Alex Finnie, announced the sad news in an Instagram post on Sunday. The death was announced through a montage of family photos and videos, uploaded online.
The video was captioned, ‘It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share — after 94 years of extraordinary love, strength, brilliance, and wisdom, my grandfather Thomas D. Williams has passed.’
The clip was soundtracked by the Stevie Wonder song As, and she used a lyric in the caption: ‘I’ll be loving you always 
.’
Alex further mentioned details noting that he was, ‘a man of great intellect — an author, educator and keeper of historical facts.’
Wendy’s dad’s death comes after her mom Shirley Williams passed away in 2020 at age 85.
