Mass COVID-19 testing drive held in Diepsloot

A mass COVID-19 testing and screening drive has been held in Diepsloot township in Johannesburg. That’s after a nurse at a local clinic tested positive for the virus. Young and old came out in their numbers to get tested during this massive drive. Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku and Gauteng Premier David Makhura observed the programme.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in South Africa has risen to 8895. Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize also confirmed 17 more COVID-19 related deaths bringing the SA death toll to 178.
