The number of positive COVID-19 cases in South Africa 124, 590. The Department of Health says 1,493 104.

There has been a further 48 COVID-19 related deaths: 8 from Eastern Cape and 40 from Western Cape. This brings the total deaths to 2,340.

“The mortality rate is 1,9%. The number of recoveries is 64 111 which translates to a recovery rate of 51,5%,” said the Department of Health.
