South African businessman, Vusi Thembekwayo, has landed himself in hot water, after topping the trends list once again, this time for a negative reason. In a resurfaced video which has since gone viral, Vusi claimed that Black people were not ready for freedom, subsequently causing outrage across the country.
Here is Vusi Thembekwayo saying you lot were not ready for freedom. "Black people were not ready for freedom, we weren't" pic.twitter.com/TUnz4laWFc

Vusi went on to draw a comparison between black people and a virus, whose goal is to kill the host, thus insinuating that black people have the tendency to destroy anything good that is given to them.
You must be mentally enslaved to believe that. The leadership sold out; sell outs will make it seem like we are incompetent, that is their purpose. Believing what Vusi is saying is believing that the white man was not oppressing black people, but rather civilising them.

Following the backlash, Vusi decided to defend himself on Twitter, causing further anguish with his followers.
He stated, “Africans are ENTITLED to freedom. It’s our human birth right. And we don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I am just asking, now that we have our freedom, WHAT ARE WE DOING IT WITH?”
Africans are ENTITLED to freedom. It’s our human birthright. And we don’t have to prove anything to anyone.
I am just asking, now that we have our freedom, WHAT ARE WE DOING IT WITH?
Are we united?
Are we building each other?
Do we understand our power?Angilwi. Ngiyabuza.
