Ambitiouz wanted to sign Elaine

Crowned South Africa’s shining star, Elaine officially signed with Columbia Records – as announced last week. News of her departure quickly spread like wildfire and although many are happy to see her finally ride that wave of success, some wish they had her all to themselves.

RnB singer Elaine recently went from being independent to joining international record label Columbia Records but it seems one Mzansi label was very interested in signing her.

Since she burst onto the music scene Elaine has wowed Mzansi with her soulful sound, becoming a household name with her 2019 Elements album which featuring hits such as Risky and You’re the One.

On Wednesday, she released the video for Risky where she announced news of her signing to Columbia Records, which is home to artists such as Beyonce, Adele, John Legend, Solange and more.

Ambitiouz Entertainment retweeted news of Elaine joining the international record label saying “Eish… They beat us to it”.

Whilst Ambitiouz has helped create some of Mzansi’s biggest music stars not all is rosy when it comes to the treatment of their artists, which makes some tweeps glad Elaine didn’t sign to the label.
