South Africa enters the first day of Level 2 of the national lockdown on Tuesday as new regulations come into effect. South Africans can now legally have 10 visitors at home and buy alcohol and cigarettes.
The sale of liquor by licensed premises is permitted from 9 am to 5 pm, from Mondays to Thursdays. However, the sale of liquor is prohibited on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
According to Co-operative Governance Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, under the new regulations, you are allowed a maximum of 50 people at funerals and weddings.
Gyms, swimming pools, bars, taverns and shebeens cinemas, theatres, and concerts are allowed.
Nightclubs remain closed and international travel is still not allowed.

When it comes to using public transport, including buses and taxis, vehicles may operate at 70% capacity for long-distance – that’s more than 200 kilometres.
A 100% capacity will be allowed for local travel, less than 200 kilometres.
