The country has recorded almost 700,000 positive cases and 17,780 deaths. The health department recorded 107 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,575 new cases over the last 24 to 48 hours.
Most of the deaths were in the Eastern Cape. The country’s recovery rate is at 90 percent.
