Kwazulu Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala, announced that the province would observe a week of mourning for the late AmaZulu King, Goodwill Zwelithini.
The Zulu monach passed away Friday morning at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban, after battling with diabetes. He served as the monarch for almost 50-years. A prayer session will also be held on 18 March.
The provincial government will visit the royal house on Saturday to discuss funeral arrangements.

Zikalala has described Zwelithini as a pillar of the nation as well as a champion for peace.

The Royal Family has confirmed the mortal remains of the King will lie in state at Khethomthandayo Royal Palace. President Cyril Ramaphosa has paid tribute to the King.
