The Western Cape Education Department is wary about the possibility of a third wave of COVID-19 infections. Many schools were forced to temporarily close last year due to a spike in cases.
Now, schools are leaving nothing to chance a month after reopening. Some institutions on the Cape Flats have also increased their intake for 2021.
