Just over 1,400 new cases have been reported. South Africa’s COVID-19 recovery rate is 95 percent.
Meanwhile, thousands have already registered to get their vaccinations when the second phase of the rollout kicks off in May.

The online registration system opened on Friday. Those over 60 are urged to register.
