Lukaku prayed and dedicated his goal to teammate Christian Eriksen. Romelu Lukaku produced a touching moment as he dedicated his opening goal of Euro 2020 to his Inter teammate, Christian Eriksen.
The Belgian forward put his team 1-0 up against Russia in the first Group B fixture. The game was played in St Petersburg.
Romelu Lukaku then ran to the camera and shouted “Chris, Chris, I love you”, as a gesture of goodwill to the Denmark midfielder who collapsed on the pitch in an earlier game. He is now in stable condition.
Romelu Lukaku was praying after Belgium-Russia. “I was crying a lot today. My thoughts and my heart are with Christian Eriksen, only for him. I was scared after spending two years with him and his fantastic family… I hope he’s okay now”.
