Hold the phone, Mzansi’s very own Pearl Thusi has been considered for an international nomination which is the Emmys.
According to Twitter’s entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the academy is considering giving the Queen Sono starring a nod for an Emmy.
“Thusi is on the 2022 Primetime EMMYS ballot for her role as Adaku in Netflix’s Fist Of Vengeance movie She’s contending against Hollywood stars like Dakota Fanning & Uma Thurman.”
It is reported that there are 183 actresses contending for the nod in her category, which is the Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie/Limited Series.
South Africans are excited about the news, including the actress, and many desire that she wins as it will open more doors for her at the international level.
