Celebrity musician, and Grammy-winning singer Ayo Balogun, famously recognized as Wizkid, has proclaimed his affection for his companions, Burna Boy and Davido. He gave the statement while performing at the Afronation symphony celebration in Portugal on Saturday night. In a viral video going around on the Internet, the Essence crooner also acknowledged his fans for their backing.
The ‘Ojuelegba’ songster performed at the 2022 Afronation music festival in Portugal on Saturday. As he made to sing his song on stage, the singer amazed the audience, and the world at large when he proclaimed that he has nothing but love for his supposed competitors. The trio is contemplated to be the grandest artists in Nigeria in recent times, with their fans often divided over who is exemplary.
But while the concert went on, Wizkid downplayed the supposed competition between them. He also appreciated fans for aiding them.
“I want to tell you tonight, Starboy, I gat love for Burna Boy, I gat love for Davido…and I want to thank you the fans for supporting us, we won’t be here without you guys.” he declared, then he gave a special shout out to the ladies.

In January, nevertheless, Wizkid and Davido had fans and music lovers thrilled as the duo was displayed and videoed giving themselves a warm hug in a Lagos nightclub. In the video that went viral online, Davido and Wizkid could be observed hugging each other affectionately and giving each other courtesies at the club, as fun fanciers in attendance shrieked in enthusiasm. Remember that for several years, both singers had been riddled with assertions that they are sworn enemies. Yet, in 2018, Wizkid united with Davido in the arena during a concert promoted by Davido.
In March, Burna Boy had provoked the prevailing supremacy controversy among them when he proclaimed himself as the biggest paid artiste in the record of African music. His assertion, nevertheless, did not stand well with many people, especially fans of Davido and Wizkid. But the ‘Twice As Tall’ vocalist claimed he is wealthier than the set. He also grappled with his critics.
“I don’t know why you think I’ll be joking when I said I am the highest paid, it’s not a joke, this is fact. Anyone wey e pain, go and get more money than me, work hard,” he had bragged.
“I do know how much everyone makes that’s why I’m saying that. And if they do any disrespect, I’ll expose them, I don’t care. Let’s get that clear when I say combined, I’m not beating around the bush, everybody is included.”
