South African social media users are now calling for English Premier League side, AFC Bournemouth to hire coach one of Africa’s finest, Pitso Mosimane.
The former Al Ahly coach is currently without a job and the digital community is rooting for his appointment by the English club.
Bournemouth suffered their heaviest defeat last weekend as they were hammered by Liverpool via a 9-0 scoreline in the league.
In the wake of the loss, the club’s hierarchy opted against retaining manager Scott Parker, and football fans believe Mosimane is the right man to succeed Parker.
Sky Sports reported that Bournemouth co-owner Maxim Demin has thanked the outgoing manager and the team for their efforts.
“I would like to place on record my gratitude to Scott and his team for their efforts during their time with us,” he said.
“Our promotion back to the Premier League last season under his tenure will always be remembered as one of the most successful seasons in our history.
“However, in order for us to keep progressing as a team and a club as a whole, it is unconditional that we are aligned in our strategy to run the club sustainably.”
