After 25 years of marriage, Jennifer Flavin has filed for divorce from the “Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone, according to court records.
Media reports in the United States reveal that Flavin accuses Stallone of hiding marital assets.
The reports further indicate that Flavin filed a petition for dissolution of marriage and other relief from Stallone on Friday at a court in Palm Beach County, Florida.
Known for his inspiring roles on the small screen, Stallone launched his relationship with Flavin in 1988 before tying the knot in 1997 and the pair is blessed with three daughters.
The eldest one is actress and model, Sistine 24, Scarlet 20, and Sophia who is 25 but the actor is also a father to son Seargeoh from his previous marriage to Sasha Czack. His oldest son Sage, whom he shares with Starlin Wright, died in 2012.
“I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues,” Stallone is quoted by People.
In a statement also published by the same publication, Flavin confirmed the divorce process, saying she will always cherish their relationship.
“I’m sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone. While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than a 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters. I ask for privacy for our family as we amicably move forward,” she said.
