Mzansi Magic has unveiled a new television programme, Mzansi Icons, and it will be hosted by Masego ‘Maps’ Maponyane.
The television show to be presented by Maponyane will honour various legends in the business and entertainment industry such as musicians like Kabelo Mabalane.
The show, Mzansi Icons, celebrates icons and shares lessons behind their success. The personalities who will be featured on the show will enjoy an unadulterated interview, sharing what makes them tick and what it took to get to where they are as per a report by SundayWorld.
The show will cover their success stories, fighting against odds, victories, overcoming adversity, struggling with success, and the rewards that come with it.
Speaking on behalf of the television channel, Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, said she is confident that the viewers will enjoy Mzansi Icons.
“With a host who has shown his relatability and is versatile enough to dive deep into topics as deftly as he can keep things light, audiences will have a new show to add to their list of Mzansi Magic favourites,” said Adonisi.
Guest appearances will include kwaito icon Mabalane, sports executive Jessica Motaung, musician and entrepreneur Khuli Chana, and marketing doyen Zibusiso Mkhwanazi.
Mzansi Icons will premiere on October 18 on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at 8pm and in a related article, Entertainment SA reported that Moshe Ndiki has also landed a new gig.
This website posted that it seems that television presenter and actor Ndiki’s God is working wonders and he headed to social media to brag about his latest blessing.
The Eastern Cape-born star, Ndiki – is set to host a television show Mntase on Mzasi Magic – and he has since confirmed the news on Instagram.
Ndiki’s newest television gig follows after seeing his character Andile Faku coming to an end on Gomora with M-Net confirming that his role has been scrapped.
