Cape Town City’s Mduduzi Mdantsane en route to Kaizer Chiefs?

Kaizer Chiefs continue to be linked with Cape Town City midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane and it looks like they will eventually land their target.

News reaching Entertainment SA Sport indicates that coach Eric Tinkler is ready to part ways with the creative attacker ahead of the next DStv Premiership season.

Mdantsane came close to joining Chiefs in the January transfer window and Tinkler also confirmed that development a few months ago.

Having failed to sign striker Khanyisa Mayo from City, Amakhosi are now setting their sights on bringing in the former Baroka playmaker.

“There will be some players that will be leaving us but those decisions, believe it or not, they’ve all been made,” said Tinkler as per SABC Sport.

“The one issue that we have and I tell agents, we got too many foreigners in our squad currently.”

At the same time, the former SuperSport United and Maritzburg United mentor revealed that their mission is to free up their foreign spots and will release come of their players.

“We have seven foreign players and we have to make a decision on two of them because we can only keep five. So, there will be one or two changes in terms of the foreign spots,” he added.

“We will obviously announce that when it’s the right time. With regards to Mdantsane again that announcement will be made at the right time.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs have already confirmed the capture of defenders Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Given Msimango.

The duo is expected to be joined by a number of new faces as Zwane and his technical team look to bolster their ranks and challenge for trophies next season.

Chiefs endured another trophyless spell as they also missed out on qualifying for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Remaining with the Soweto giants, Chiefs are heavily linked with Fiston Mayele of the Tanzanian side, Young Africans and it is widely reported that Chiefs have already made contact with the hitman.
