Actress Meagan Good is showing her support for her rumoured boyfriend, Jonathan Majors as he appears in court for assault and harassment charges. The pair were seen holding hands as they enter and exited the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City seemingly confirming the rumours that the two are dating.
The “Creed III” star is charged with assault, alleged strangulation, and harassment after his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari claimed they got into an altercation, and was released on his own recognizance with an order of protection. According to the police, Jabbari was treated at a hospital for minor head and neck injuries.
Manhattan Judge Rachel S. Pauley set the date for trial to 3rd August following his March arrest.
Major’s attorney Priya Chaudhry said that she provided prosecutors with video evidence showing that Jabbari is the one who was attacking Major not the other way around. Chaudhry said in a statement to CBS News, “Last week, we delivered additional compelling evidence to the District Attorney, clearly proving Grace Jabbari’s assault on Jonathan Majors and not the other way around, this evidence includes videos of Ms. Jabbari’s frenzied attack on Mr. Majors and his running away from her.
“We also provided photographs illustrating the injuries she inflicted on Mr. Majors and photos of his clothing torn as a direct consequence of Ms. Jabbari’s violent actions,” Chaudhry said.
According to reports, Major’s career is affected by these allegations as after his arrest the U.S. Army pulled TV commercials starring Majors, saying it was “deeply concerned” by the allegations. Disney last month postponed Majors’ upcoming Marvel film “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” from May 2025 to May 2026. He is also slated to appear in “Avengers: Secret Wars” in 2027.
Amidst the court case, Good and Major are reported to be spending so much together over the last few weeks. The pair was photographed waiting for their food in a restaurant while chatting and checking their phones. Not only that but they’ve been spotted several times shopping for home décor.
According to Page Six, the accused met with Good’s mother and sister for lunch.
