Young John whose real name is John Saviours Udomboso is a talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He came into the limelight of the music industry after handling Olamide’s single titled “Story for The God”. Through his tremendous work and the recognition he earned, he was nominated for the “Producer of The Year” Award at the 2015 Headies Award.

Early Life / Education

Young John whose real name is John Saviours Udomboso was born on the 16th of February 1995 into a Christian family in Ibadan, Oyo State. He is of the akwa-ibom descent but spent the majority of his development stage in the west.

He attended Ideal Foundation Primary School in Ibadan for his basic formal education before proceeding to GOF College in Osogbo, Osun State. Young John was interested in soccer, dance, and numerous musical instruments. He graduated with a degree in Communications and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan.

Young John is currently not in any relationship. Up until he gained fame, there has been no information, rumor, or post linking him to a girlfriend or wife.

Career

Young John started playing various musical instruments from a young age. He created a group known as AVG together with his brothers before being signed by Hit Factory Studios in 2012 as an artist. 

While working with the record label, Young John produced a record-breaking single for the renowned artist, Olamide that was titled “Story For The Gods”. In 2015, he was nominated for the “Producer of The Year” Award at the Headies Award for the production of “Bobo”, another hit song for Olamide.

Young John has earned a lot of recognition for producing hit songs and albums including “Efejoku” and “Gbese” by Lil Kesh, 2 Kings by Phyno and Olamide, and Biggest Backside by Davido.

Still active in the music industry, he has worked with numerous artists, and his style of music production is well-regarded. In 2022, Young John agreed on a deal with Chocolate City Music and quickly released “Dada”.

Through the release of “Dada”, an extended playoff of Love Is Not Enough, he announced his signature to the record label. In October of the same year, Young John decided to release the second volume of Love Is Not Enough. The project consisted of numerous already recorded songs including Dada Remix, Next To You, If You Leave, Normally, XtraCool, and Sokoto.
