Blaq Diamond win a case against Ambitiouz, once again

Afropop group, Blaq Diamond have got yet another win against their former record label Ambitiouz Entertainment, which makes it their third win.

Consisting of the singers Ndumiso “Ndu Browns” Mdletshe and Siphelele “Danya Devs” Dunywa, the musicians’ lawyer who is Jade Naidoo took to X (formerly Twitter) to congratulate the duo, and wrote: “Congratulations to my client Blaq Diamond for winning against Ambitiouz Entertainment for the third time! Ambitiouz’s leave to appeal is dismissed with costs! Round three in the bag.”

“Of course special thanks to Adv Ngcukaitobi SC for showing up and working is magic as per usual.” – the attorney added.

It was last year October when the ‘Summer YoMuthi’ hitmakers took Ambitiouz to the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg since the record label threatened to delete their YouTube channel account. In that era, Ambitiouz had removed Blaq Diamond’s hit song Qoma (featuring Big Zulu) from YouTube.

Additionally, the interdict was to prevent any further copyright or ownership battle for their songs IIanga and Fireworks with any other digital streaming platform such as Spotify, iTunes and Deezer.

Prior to this victory, the ‘Love Letter’ singers had won again in August.
