The time where people tend to overspend has arrived. It is the wonderful time where we have to make sure we spend wisely because this cash has to stretch until January.
Let’s talk about ways to get you saving from Christmas moving forwards.
Eating at home- because we may spend too much time travelling, garage pies end up becoming a thing and it’s important to cook and prepare food at home to make sure you save.
Gifts- here, you have to creative. Try buying gifts that are on sale or ones that do not break the budget will be your saving grace this festive.
Ignore buying things you don’t need- avoid buying things that you don’t need. The last thing you want is to be asking yourself where your money went when January comes around.
Set a budget limit- set your own limit to make sure you stay within your financial limit which you shall not go over no matter what happens. You decide on a limit, and you stick to it.
Buy the most important items- buy staple items that will last such as eggs, maize meal and milk. And then move into the other items that are considered staples in your home. After these, try to stay away from those very tempting sections in the grocery stores.
Less driving saves more petrol. Use one car that doesn’t have a full tank that costs an arm and a leg and use that one car for all your festive trips.
As much as you are enjoying the festive season, don’t forget to spend your money wisely.
