Kagiso Rabada Hits 300 Wicket Milestone in style

Kagiso Rabada, South Africa’s current top fast bowler, has become the 39th bowler in the history of Test cricket to reach the milestone of 300 wickets after taking the wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim, on day one of the current cricket Test Match against Bangladesh.

He landed up taking a three wicket haul for only 26-runs in 11-overs, that helped dismiss Bangladesh for only 106 runs in their first innings.

Bowling on the first morning of the Dhaka Test against Bangladesh, Rabada knocked over Mushfiqur Rahim’s stumps to claim his 300th Test wicket.

Rabada became the sixth South African to do so, following after Dale Steyn (439 Test wickets), Shaun Pollock (421), Makhaya Ntini (390), Alan Donald (330), and Morne Morkel (309).

Rabada has followed this celebration by taking another four wickets in the second innings today, that has all but ensured a test victory for the South African Proteas in the five-day test match.

This Test is Rabada’s 65th, making him the joint 10th fastest to reach the 300 Test wicket mark in test history. Among fast bowlers, he is the joint seventh fastest alongside Waqar Younis and Fred Trueman, both of whom also reached the 300 landmark in their 65th Tests.
