Ma$e’s ‘Now We Even’ Album Set to Drop on Diddy’s Trial Day!

Ma$e is coming back, and he’s doing it with a bang. After more than two decades of silence in the studio, the former Bad Boy rapper is finally giving us new music, and not just any new music—a triple-disc album.

Yes, you read that right. But hold onto your seats because this return is happening on one seriously sassy date: the same day as the start of Diddy’s sex trafficking trial.

Ma$e made the announcement during an episode of his sports talk show It Is What It Is, and let’s just say, he had no intention of keeping things low-key. The Harlem World rapper, alongside co-host Treasure “Stat Baby” Wilson and guest Maurice Clarett, gave fans a taste of the magic he’s been working on in the studio.

“I’m listening to the songs that Killa [Cam’ron] picked out of the stuff I made,” Ma$e casually said, dropping hints of what’s to come. “It’s gonna be crazy… We had to pick the right records. I let him pick the right records.” Sounds like a hit is coming, right?

But Ma$e wasn’t done teasing. When Clarett pressed him on when we could expect the album to drop, Ma$e paused—then dropped the real bombshell: “May 25.”

Yes, the exact day Diddy’s trial for sex trafficking begins. Iconic. While reports say the trial kicks off on May 5, Ma$e clearly wants his moment in the spotlight on the 25th. And if that’s not bold enough, he followed it up with a mic-drop-worthy statement: “the album will be triple-disc.”

“Triple CD! Now we even,” Ma$e smirked. Could this album get any more dramatic?

Let’s take a step back for a second: it’s been over 20 years since Ma$e last dropped a studio album. The last one, Welcome Back, hit in 2004, and the world’s been waiting ever since.

Fast forward to 2025, and Ma$e is back with a vengeance at 49 years old, ready to remind us why he’s a hip-hop legend. And guess what? It’s not just about the music—it’s about the timing.
