Lerato Kganyago, Happy Simelane Raise Alarm Over Being Followed

Media personality Lerato Kganyago took to Instagram with a series of alarming posts suggesting that she may have been followed — and possibly targeted — by unknown individuals. While no official details have been confirmed, her account has sparked concern online, especially as she hinted that a police officer may have been present during the incident.

Lerato described how she suspected she was being watched and decided to test her suspicions by setting what she called a “trap”. According to her, she confronted the individuals at a restaurant, having already observed them entering, sitting nearby, and moving when she attempted to leave.

In her post, she expressed gratitude to the restaurant staff and customers who alerted her that strangers were asking about her whereabouts — including where she was seated and what time she had arrived.

“Unfortunately for them, I had already captured them from when they entered the door,” she said. “I bravely confronted them, and they stood next to a police officer who said nothing. They all walked away once they realised I was recording.”

Lerato added that she was only able to confront them because she had “invisible” security watching over her.

She also shared a message from a follower who claimed to have witnessed a similar situation, alleging that someone was trying to photograph her under the guise of checking out the restaurant in Bryanston.

Despite the troubling events, Lerato remained composed and defiant in her messages:

“I will always look and sound happy because that’s what keeps me alive in spirit.”
“My fear? My fear is worn out… I do not fear anymore.”

Separately, The Mommy Club cast member Happy Simelane shared on her own Instagram that she too had noticed suspicious behaviour, including a VW GTI allegedly following her. She stated that she has video evidence and has opened a case.
