Fireboy DML Couldn’t Hold Back Tears After Performing Peru Para at the Wembley Stadium

Nigerian Afrobeats star, Adedamola Adefolahan, popularly recognized as Fireboy DML has broken a world record as he becomes the first Afrobeats artist to perform at the famous Wembley Stadium with Ed Sheeran.

Fireboy was the only guest artist at the show in Wembley stadium which was organized by globally recognized English singer, Edward Christopher Sheeran MBE, otherwise known as Ed Sheeran.

Ed Sheeran who is presently on his “+-=×÷ Tour” (Mathematics Tour) brought Fireboy on stage.

There are popular performance grounds that have been mentioned all through history, and the Wembley Stadium in London, England arguably stands atop that list. The iconic ground is not only deemed as the residence of football, but has also been host grounds for some of the world’s biggest nights in both sports and art, even before it evolved into the modern structure it is today.

The Wembley Stadium has around 90,000 capacity, and Ed Sheeran is scheduled to perform there for five nights from 24 June to 1 July.

Remember that Fireboy released ‘Peru’ in July 2021 and later on remixed the song with English singer, Ed Sheeran in 2022.

The duo performed the remix at the concert grounds. After the feat, Fireboy declared that this August, the world will get to encounter his subsequent album, Playboy.

It turned out to be a wonderful night for Nigerian music star Fireboy as he did the song along with Ed Sheeran at the Wembley Stadium in London.

The Nigerian musician got weepy after the performance as it was a sensitive one for him: the first time he’s accomplishing the feat of performing at the venue which insiders say had 84,000 attendees.

Fireboy in a video that has gone, was overpowered with emotions and broke down in tears as his team members hushed him down the backstage.

A concert facility of up to 90 thousand people renders it one of the biggest venues. Every artist would wish to perform at Wembley, and not even Fireboy DML could stop the tears after becoming to the first Nigerian act to ascend the Wembley pulpit.

Not to gas Fireboy DML or anything, but the gifted singer has been on a twirl of groundbreaking accomplishments, in a week that also had him become the first Nigerian to perform on center stage at the BET Awards. A big vote of congratulations must go to him and his team for the worldwide accomplishments of Peru Para (Remix).
