YouTuber Ghost Hlubi sparked a big online buzz after fans discovered that the brand-new Porsche he supposedly gifted his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day may not have been what it seemed.
Despite sharing photos of the sleek car and leading many to believe he had splurged on the luxury vehicle, it appears the Porsche has since reappeared on a car dealership lot, fuelling speculation that the entire stunt was staged for content.
This isn’t the first time Ghost Hlubi has been accused of staging such antics. Like many celebrities before him, including Kefilwe Mabote, who allegedly faked a traditional wedding, and Sithelo Shozi, who made headlines with her own Porsche purchase, Ghost Hlubi’s move seems to be part of a growing trend of influencers going to great lengths for online attention.
Despite the drama, Shozi has remained silent on the matter, leaving fans to speculate about the true story behind the flashy purchases.
